Portuguese for foreigners

We offer language instruction in Brazilian Portuguese at a variety of levels: from helping the beginning student to acquire and practice basic conversational ability in everyday situations, to guiding the more accomplished learner in developing their skills and communicative ability. Classes are tailored to participants’ strengths and weaknesses, and typically involve a mixture of listening and speaking practice along with attention to principles of grammar, pronunciation, and elements of non-verbal communication specific to the Brazilian culture.

Number and length of classes depend on students’ length of stay and availability.

Instruction in English, German and French also available.
